REPORTS & REPORT GENERATOR
Imprint MIS is a true Management Information System.
The seamless integration of ‘Report-Generator’, ‘Document-
Generator’, and ‘Contact-Manager’ is
the fundamental provider of Management Information. All
other modules are for Office and Factory Administration
and Resources planning. The data and documents generated
throughout the system are stored indefinitely for use
by these programs.
Imprint MIS comes with a range of standard reports.
On top of this the Report Generator gives access
to all
the data fields stored within the system and therefore
gives unlimited scope for listings and comparisons
and financial statistics.
Features
Data store/archives
- Every Customer Record Card, Supplier Record
Card, Stock Card, Job History Card, Job Cost Sheet,
carries an audit
trail of all its transactions.
- All Time Sheet entries, Outwork and Material transactions
are stored in their original, bit-by-bit, integrity
over many years.
- Copies of all documents are stored: letters, works instructions,
purchase orders, delivery notes, invoices,
estimate workings and completed cost sheets.
The Data Map
- Every possible data item from every module
has its own unique reference number.
- The reference numbers are common throughout the entire
system.
- They integrate with equal facility into document formats
and report layouts.
Designing a Report
- No special skills are needed to set up a
report. You do not have to be a programmer!
- Simply use the reference numbers from the data map to
bring items together in columns.
- Use the Attribute codes to define the purpose of
each column (e.g. Text only, Date, Numeric,
Totalled, Averaged, To be sorted by, etc.).
- Use the parameter switches to
dictate which data is to be read (e.g. Work-in-Progress
only, Invoiced Jobs only, or both, etc.).
- Use Algebraic formulas with individual field values or
column totals (e.g. show the
Labour Contribution as a percentage of Machine Hours recorded in a monthly sales
analysis report, show the Added
Value,
Contribution and Profit on invoiced jobs split by Customer, Salesman,
Product Code, Market Sector,
etc.).
- Report Wizard helps to quickly create reports.
Running a Report
- Between dates if required.
- Automatically creates a fixed file matrix.
- Sort on any one subject within any one column.
- Choose to sub-total against any field (e.g. salesman).
- Choose to consolidate against any field (e.g. grand total
only per product code).
- Choose to output to screen; send direct to printer; send
direct to e-mail; export to other
programs (e.g. MS Excel; Crystal Reports, etc.).
- Use Imprint Document-Generator to output report presentations
with graphics.
Report Grouping
Report designs may be grouped together
under relevant headings and passwords
(e.g. Sales,
Marketing,
Production, Despatch, Financial,
etc.). Individual reports can
be set to build themselves at specific
times and specific dates of the
month. They can
even be set
to send the
answers automatically to a series
of e-mail addresses (e.g. a customer’s Stock Movement report required
monthly).

Imprint help staff may be commissioned
to solve reporting problems
and design specific
reports
for you where
your own time is limited.
